Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate A Study on the Effects of CPS-based Group Art Therapy on Single Mothers¡¯ Self-efficacy and Problem Solving Ability. The subjects of the study are single mothers in welfare facilities. Total 16 sessions of group art therapy are conducted twice a week for two hours each time. ANCOVA, Paired t-test is used to test the effectiveness of group art therapy based on CPS model on the self-efficacy and problem solving ability of single mothers. Group art therapy based on Creative Problem Solving(CPS) model results in improving single mothers' affectiveness and confidence, and helps them to plan a variety of solutions and to solve problems they face without avoiding new conditions and problems. Thus, this study shows positively that group art therapy based on Creative Problem Solving(CPS) model, for the basis of the development of intervention program, has effectiveness and possibility to improve the self-efficacy and problem solving ability and to foster positive behavior change of single mothers.
